Christy L. Denton

     Christy L. Denton, 50, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Muskingum Skilled Nursing and Rehab. She was born on June 3, 1971 in Marietta, Ohio, daughter of Clinton Denton and Susie Kitts Denton. She graduated from Fort Frye High School in 1989 and the Washington County Career Center. She had been a Phlebotomist at Marietta Memorial Hospital and Ohio State University Hospital for several years. Christy was a Methodist by faith. She is survived by her mother, Susie Denton of Beverly; her father, Clinton Denton of Beverly; a sister, Tammy Reed and husband Dean of Waterford; a brother, Bud Denton and wife Beth of Stockport; her companion of 11 years, William Lucas and his daughter, Lyla Lucas of Waterford; her uncle, John Kitts and wife Jan of Dresden; her aunt, Charlotte Kitts of Beverly; her puppies, Winston and Willy; and other family members. She was preceded in death by an uncle, Larry Kitts; a nephew, Tyron Reed; and grandparents, Mary Kitts Tompkins and Reeford Kitts.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, May 2, 2022 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Steve Wainwright officiating. Burial will be in the Center Cemetery near Waterford.
