Charles E Cline, 76, of Waterford, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 18, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 30, 1946 at Racine, Ohio to Russell and Seva Beaver Cline, being one of ten children. Charles was a 1964 graduate of Southern High School at Racine, a 1969 graduate of Rio Grande College and he later received his MBA at WVU. He was employed by AEP as a Chemist and Chief Chemist, the Plant Manager at Gorsuth Power Plant and Corporate Plant Manager for St. Jo Light and Power at St. Joseph Mo. Charles attended the Waterford Nazarene Church and was active in several of their activities. He is survived by his wife, Lois Sisson Cline, for 56 years; two sons, Charles E. Cline (Nichole) of Tennessee and Steven Cline of St. Joseph Mo; a brother, Carl of Mason and a sister, Patricia of Long Bottom; and several nieces and nephews. He had enjoyed coaching baseball for many years and playing softball. He also loved camping, trout fishing, deer hunting and after his retirement he enjoyed golfing several days a week. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Seva; five brothers, John Henry, James, David, Richard and Carol; and two sisters, Mary and Grace.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at the Waterford Nazarene Church with Pastor Garret Russel officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery.
