Carol Joann Harrington

     Carol Joann Harrington, 93, of Centerburg, Ohio, formerly of Waterford, died on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ohio. She was born on November 29, 1932 in Woodsfield, Ohio, daughter of Raymond W. and Mazie Minger Dimit. Carol graduated from Marietta High School and had worked at Anheuser Busch in Columbus for many years before her retirement. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Carol is survived by four grandchildren, Mollie (Donald) Lanigan  of Mount Vernon, Ohio, David Hilton of Centerburg, John White of Mount Vernon, Ohio and Travis (Sara) Hilton of Centerburg; a sister, Norma Roe of Waterford; two brothers, Wilfred Dimit and Lorn (Judy) Dimit of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Helen Rae Hilton and Ellen Hilton; a son, James Hilton and his wife Judy; a sister, Shirley Wallace; a brother, Larry Dimit; a granddaughter, Paula White; and a beloved niece, Amy Wallace.

     A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Steve Roe officiating.
