Betty Ann Ciccantell, 79, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Friday, November 5, 2021 at her home. She was born on September 1, 1942 in Mount Hope, WV, daughter of Lefrage Chambers and Maxine Montgomery Rhodes. She graduated from Mount Hope High School and Davis and Elkins College, and had taught at Washington State Community College for over 25 years. On September 5, 1964 she was married to Buddy Jack Ciccantell who died in 2013. She is survived by a son, Paul Ciccantell and his wife Laura of Kalamazoo, Michigan; two grandchildren, Kathryn Ciccantell and Jack Ciccantell of Kalamazoo, Michigan; and a brother, Billy Rhodes of Ocala, Florida. Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to thank Sue Hart and the rest of exceptional team whose patient and loving care allowed Betty to spend her final months at home and in her garden: Angie, Anna Marie, Barb, Brenda, Julie, JoAnn, Linda, Monit, Natalie and the staff of Amedisys Hospice. A caring cremation with no services is taking place at Betty’s request. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad at P.O.
