Belva Eileen Sprague

     Belva Eileen Sprague, 86 of Marietta, formerly of Fleming, went home peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Harmar Place Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on January 29, 1936 in Watertown, Ohio, daughter of Elmo Cleston and Flora Mercer Anderson. She had been a nurse for many years at Marietta Convalescent Center and had a special love for the residents with Alzheimers. She graduated from Waterford High School in 1954 and was a longtime member of the Beverly Baptist Church. On December 26, 1954 she was married to Glenn W. Sprague who died on December 30, 1988. She later married Harold Hoskinson on August 8, 2008 who also preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Douglas Sprague and wife Janelle of Waterford, three daughters, Debbie Close of Waterford, Kim Lewis of Marietta and Cheryl Lang and husband Brady of Waterford; sixteen grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren; a sister, Maxine Bohl of Fleming and a brother, Dale Lee Anderson and wife Ann of Marietta; four sisters in law, Bonnie Anderson, Phyllis Knight, Becky Kostelnik and husband Jake and Tedee Jo Sprague; and a brother in-law, Ronnie Sprague. She was preceded in death by her husband’s; parents; a son in-law Wayne Close and two brothers, Gale and Ralph Anderson.

     Funeral services will be held at 8:00 pm on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Beverly Baptist Church. Friends may call 6-8 pm on Friday before the service at the church.
