Alma J. Ginther, 92, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at her home. She was born October 1, 1928 in Lowell, Ohio, daughter of John and Lena Alig McCreery. She graduated from Lowell High School. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church and the Catholic Women’s Club. Alma love to quilt and had been a member of a once a week quilting bee for many years. She also loved to play bingo with her friends.
She was married on September 6, 1948 to Edgar C. Ginther who died on May 4, 2019. She is survived by eight children, Michael Ginther and Debbie of Carrollton, Georgia, Phillip Ginther and Sharon of Galion, Ohio, Ann Conrath and David of Waterford, Patricia Gast and Patrick of Beverly, Carol Clark and Larry Border of Beverly, Dan Ginther and Lori of Beverly, Martin Ginther and Angie of Beverly and Matthew Ginther of Cutler; a daughter in-law, Susan Ginther of Beverly; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Jerdon of Newark, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Tim Ginther and a grandson, Christopher Daniel Ginther.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 25, 2021 at St. Bernard Cemetery in Beverly with Father Tim Kozak officiating. McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
