Richard North Obituary

     Richard L. North, 73, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at his home. He was born on September 14, 1945 in Athens, Ohio, son of William and Rosalie Luckwell North. He retired from AEP Muskingum River Plant and had also worked at Interlake Steel. Richard also had been a police officer for the Village of Beverly for seven years. He graduated from Warren High School in 1963. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and music and had played the guitar in local bands for many years. He was married on October 26, 1965 to Linda DeLancey North who survives. Also surviving is a son, Randy North of Beverly; four grandchildren, Randie Lee, Richard Eugene, Dakotah Reese and Sorella Jade; five great grandchildren, William Carter, Theodore Joseph, James Phillip, Chloe Denise and Daphne Jane; Two sisters, Nyla Wiggins  (Dan) of Marietta and Cheryl Keller (Sam) of Texas.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Richard L. North; and two sisters, Gayle Camp and Brenda Wolfe.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Leland Close officiating. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm on Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
