Patricia J. Christopher

Patricia J. Christopher, 82, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on August 8, 1935 in Conneaut, Ohio, daughter of Carl W. and Grace Lorine Nichols Semon. She had been a School Teacher for many years in Florida and for two years at Warren Local School District. She graduated from Waterford High School and the University of South Florida. She attended the Fifth Street Church of Christ and the Beverly United Methodist Church. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star #506 in Beverly. She had also been a 4 H advisor for many years in Lee County, Florida. Patty wrote a food article for the Parkersburg News for many years and her recipes were read all over the United States. She was married on December 11, 1985 to Norman Christopher who survives. Also surviving  is a son, Michael Cunningham; six grandchildren, Amanda Venham, Jessica Arnold, Corrine McGrew, Austin Cunningham, Cassidy Cunningham and Baylee Cunningham; ten Great Grandchildren; a brother, Carl “Bill” Semon Jr. and his wife Sharon of Malta, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William Cunningham; and two brothers, David and Daniel Semon.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly, with Evang. Zack Waite officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Saturday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Fifth St. Church of Christ or the Beverly United Methodist Church.
