Martin Francis Obituary

     Martin L. “Marty” Francis, 59, of Caldwell, Ohio, died on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at his home. He was born on July 29, 1960 in Beverly, Ohio, son of William L. and Emily Way Francis. He graduated from Fort Frye High School in 1978 and had been a prison guard at the Noble Correctional Institution for 23 years. He served on the board of Pure Water and had been an avid deer hunter for many years. He was married on May 17, 2002 to Cynni Reed Francis who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Cassie Ferguson and husband Mike of New Lexington, Ohio; three step daughters, Niki Dupler and husband Dave of Glouster, Ohio, Kayla Simons and husband Nate of Glouster, Ohio and Jeana Farnsworth (JR Lang) of Marietta; eight grandchildren, Lexi, Cali, Baylor, Preston, Braeden, Tauren, Aurelia and Adler; his father, William Francis of Beverly; two sisters, Sharon Ball and husband Tom of Syracuse, Ohio and Gwen Kelby of Beverly; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; nephew, Andy Kelby and a grandson, Gabriel Evener.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Thad Haines officiating. Friends may call 2-8 pm on Wednesday.
