Larry L. McCoy

Larry L. McCoy, 80, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Monday, November 13, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 28, 1936 in Roscoe, Ohio, son of Willard and Louise Williams McCoy. He retired from AEP Muskingum River Plant after 30 years of service. He graduated from Coshocton High School in 1954 and was a member of the Beverly United Methodist Church. Larry enjoyed playing music and played in two bands, The Earl Wagner Band and the Four Hits and a Miss.  He enjoyed playing horseshoes, bowling and spending time with his family. He was married on February 23, 1957 to Sandra Hayes McCoy, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Steve McCoy and wife Lynn of Marshall, Texas and Sherri Neill and husband Phil of Waterford; three grandchildren, Vicki Sunderman and husband Kevin of Vincent and Jackie and Jeffrey McCoy of Marshall, Texas; six great-grandchildren, Trevor, Colton (Ashley), Remy, Miracle, Maggie and Jaidyn Sunderman; a sister, Connie Miller and husband Richard of Zanesville, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Judy Barrick.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Jerry Penrod officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call 2-8 pm on Friday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Beverly United Methodist Church or the Beverly-Waterford Rescue Squad.
