James Edward Gregory

     James Edward Gregory, 79, of Beverly, Ohio, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on December 28, 1939 son of Sanford and Bernetta Heiss Gregory. He graduated from Marietta High School in 1958 and served in the US Army. He retired from Solvay Specialty Polymers in Marietta in 1996. James was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, American Legion Post 750 at Lowell, Mt. Moriah Lodge #37, Washington County Scottish Rite Club, Rufus Putnam # 108 and Aladdin Shriners.

     He was married on September 23, 1961 to Norwista Faye “Johnnie” Hollett  Gregory  his wife of 58 years who survives. He is also survived by two sons, James Gregory Jr. (Deann) and Rusty Gregory (Tammy); grandchildren, Tyler Gregory (Kayla), Sierra Liston (Shane), Kyle Gregory and Travis Gregory; great- grandchildren, Shayleigh Liston, Samuel Liston and Emma Grace Gregory; a brother, Sanford Gregory Jr.; and three nephews, Joseph, John and Jeff Gregory. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joe Gregory.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 17, 2019 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery with Military Rites at the grave.
