Edna L. Kostelnik

Edna L. Kostelnik, 84, of Beverly, Ohio, formerly of Byesville, died Monday, February 12, 2018 at the home of her daughter, Cleo Prater , in Beverly. She was born on July 25, 1933 in Cambridge, Ohio, daughter of William and Sarah McFarlane Meitzer. She graduated from Byesville High School and had worked for many years as a secretary at the former Cambridge State Hospital. She attended the St. Benedict Catholic Church in Cambridge. She was married on February 23, 1952 to William B. Kostelnik who died on October 6, 2012. She is survived by three children, Cleo Prater and husband Rick of Beverly, Alan Kostel and wife Liz of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Sarah Kostelnik of Byesville; Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two half-brothers, Bill Pallat and Robert Meitzer of Byesville; and a half-sister, Kathleen Meitzer of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and a brother, Fred Meitzer.

Burial will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery in Byesville at a later date at the convenience of the family. McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
