Donald Ball Obituary

Donald E. Ball, 83, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Highland Oaks Health Center in McConnelsville.  He was born January 16, 1935 in Coal Run, Ohio, son of Guy and Lottie Walters Ball. He attended Lowell High School and had been a farmer all of his life.  He was a member of the Waterford Grange. He was married on June 9, 1954 to Evah Sherlock Ball his wife of 63 years. Also surviving are five children, Rita Stollar and husband Keven of Waterford, Jerry Ball and wife Ashley of Waterford, Andy Ball and wife Carla of Waterford, David Ball and wife Laura of Worthington, Ohio and Darren Ball and wife Lisa of Waterford; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren and four step grandchildren; and a brother, Emmett Ball of Lowell. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda June Ball; two sisters, Rettie Farnsworth and Dorothy Frazier; and four brothers, Tom, Leland, Henry and Dean Ball.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 19, 2018 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Rev. John Harra officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm on Sunday. Donations may be made to the Waterford Elementary School Library. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.mccurdyfh.com.
