Dana John Garvin, 82, of Beverly, Ohio, died on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 14, 1936 in Noble County, Ohio, son of Clem and Guila Boney Garvin. He graduated from Caldwell High School in 1955 and served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany. Dana retired from Center Township after 43 years of service. He was a member and Past Master of the Reinersville Masonic Lodge. He was married on September 12, 1958 to Jessie Combs Garvin who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Dana E. Garvin of Beverly, Mike R. Garvin of Beverly, David L. Garvin and wife Lisa of Lowell and Robert E. Garvin of Beverly; one daughter, Betty Lang of Beverly; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, James Garvin and wife Sue of Caldwell; two sisters, Alice Barnhart and Buella Parcell of Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Chapel Cemetery.
