Betty E. Clark Rossiter

Betty E. Clark Rossiter, 90, of Beverly, Ohio, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was born April 3, 1928 at East Union, Ohio, to the late Ira Clark Sr. and Hattie Miller Clark. At an early age the family moved to Caldwell where she graduated. In 1947 she was employed in a small Kroger Store being produce manager. She met Harold “Pete” Rossiter while he was home on furlough. They became good friends and were married September 2, 1951 for 65 years. Betty was employed at Fort Frye High School cafeteria as a cook for 23 years. She loved sports including the Fort Frye Cadets, Ohio State and the Cincinnati Reds. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Waterford. She was preceded in death by her parents;  husband of 65 years, a daughter, Sally Ann Casto; four brothers, Roy, Ira Jr., Don and Alex Clark; two sisters, Marge Minard and Hazel Clark. She is survived by three children. Son, Tim Rossiter (Sherrie); daughters, Susan Strauss (Gene) and Molly Hutchinson (Nick); Nine grandchildren, Amy Stossel (Doug), Andy Strauss (Shannon), Beth Bush (Mike), Brian Casto, Misty Ash (Logan), Kristy Oty, Christal Wallace (Larry), Troy Fogle (Kala) and Trent Fogle (Alisha); sixteen great grandchildren, Chloe and Zachary Stossel, Addison and Barrett Ash, Parker Oty, Ethan and Kenadee Strauss, Jasmine, Zane, Jayden and Ashton Wallace, Ethan and Kelton Fogle, Kali and Cole Shilling and Aiden Fogle.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday. The family wishes to thank the Hospice caretakers and Tish Eddy for taking care of our mother.
