Carol Mason, 73, of Waterford, Ohio died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at her home. She was born April 4, 1939 in Ithaca, New York, daughter of Draper and Bernice Leopolski Allen. She was retired from Elkem Metals after several years of service. She was a charter member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #3665 in Beverly. After graduation from Ithaca High School she moved to Syracuse, NY where she married Harold Bolich and had 3 daughters. She later married Fred Mason July 16, 2002 although they had been together for 25 years. She is survived by her husband; 3 daughters, Dawn Combs and husband Brian of Beverly, Susan Offenberger and husband Ron of Waterford and Lisa Guiler and husband Rick of Waterford; 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; 2 stepsons, William Mason and wife Tina of Marietta and Gerald Mason and wife Dawn of Waterford; 4 step grandchildren; 3 sisters, Barbara Kelly and husband Ray of Ocala, Fl., Joyce Wilson of Laughlin, Nevada and Dorothy Krause of Inverness, Fl.; Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Allen and her first husband Harold Bolich. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Saturday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Strecker Cancer Center, 401 Matthew Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750. We will miss Carol's frequent visits. Her lovely sense of humor and quick wit. She was very special to all of us. We are sorry for your loss and know you will be comforted by memories and the love she has shared with you.

I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Carol''s passing, you are all in my thoughts and prayers.I''m sure she has a high place in Heaven and it will be a lively and fun place with Aunt Carol there. I have happy memories of her and her great and easy laughter.

Fred sorry to hear about Carol leaving us. We just read the obituaries to night. Our neighbor gave us her newspaper after she read it. Carmen said she just talked to her last Sunday. Our deepest sympathy.
