Raymond Charles Barry

Raymond Charles Barry, 85, of Beverly, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Westerville Manor at Tussic in Westerville, Ohio. He was born on April 9, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio, son of John Alexander Barry and Francis Elizabeth McCall Barry. He founded RC Barry well drilling company, which he ran successfully for many years. In retirement he enjoyed buying and selling properties in southern and central Ohio. He graduated from New California High School and served in the United States Navy. He regularly attended Lighthouse Baptist Church and the Waterford Church of the Nazarene. He particularly enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Hysell Barry of Beverly; seven children, Esther Ann McEnery (Michael), Martha Jean Bumpus (John), Rachel Diane Barry, Virginia Lucille Lauth, Raymond Adam Barry, Katherine Barry and Kristine Barry; twelve grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 30, 2017 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly, Ohio, with Pastor Rob Vernon and Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating. A Military Service will be held at the conclusion of the service. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Friday.
