To the Garris Family,
Our family has many memories of Noah. He and Richard (McNabb) worked together for many years at FFHS and it was always about the students coming first. Our thought and prayers are with the entire family during this time. RIP Noah

Sorry to hear about Noah"s passing. Noah was the superintendent of Fort Frye Local when I drove school bus. He was always a kind person and helped in any way he could.

Dear Ruth & Family - So sorry to hear of your loss. Noah was so well respected by my parents, Tim and I and of course the Gorrell, Combs and Haines families of Center and Manchester Townships, along with so many others in the Beverly, Hackney & Reinersville areas. He never seemed to change, always so courteous, caring and interested in your life. His visits always left you with a joyful feeling and you knew that you were an important person to him. May he rest at peace and may all of the fond memories of the past bring you great joy and comfort in the future. I will not be able to visit you in person, but my heart and prayers will be with you. With great sympathy to all.

When Ruth called last night to tell us Noah had died I began to think of the impact he had on students, teachers, parents, communities and especially on my family and me. I was blessed to have served as high school principal under his direction at Fort Frye and Huron. He was my mentor as well as a friend. Needless to say Noah and the Garris family will always be in our thoughts.

Garris Family. Sorry to hear of your loss. I remember Mr. Garris from his time at Fort Frye as we graduated in 1975. Her was a friend of my (Ron) mom and dad. His dedication to education will live with many of us. Thinking of the family in this time of sadness.

Dear Aunt Ruth and family,
I am saddened to learn of Uncle Noah's passing. Fondly, I recall our annual reunions in Newcomerstown where Uncle Noah always seemed to serve as emcee. In doing so he helped all to celebrate our strong family ties, introduce the newest members of the family in attendance, remember those who passed since our last gathering, and truly helped maintain connections and helped bring together a large extended family from far away places.
I also recall many conversations about the teaching profession. Uncle Noah was always genuinely interested in what was happening in everyone's life, and when talking education, he usually had a story or two to share that related to yours.
As I start the school year with teachers next week, I will remember Uncle Noah and also keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
