Louis E. Bauerbach

Louis E. Bauerbach ,89, of Waterford, Ohio, died on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Muskingum Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Beverly. He was born September 1, 1927 in Lowell, son of Paul and Mildred Meiser Bauerbach. He retired from Globe Metallurgical after 32 years of service. He attended Waterford Schools and served in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the Beverly Lions Club for 26 years and a life member of the Pioneer Engine Club. He enjoyed showing gasoline steam engines , which he did for many years and also enjoyed woodworking. He was married on November 9, 1949 to Eleanor Sandy Bauerbach and they enjoyed 68 years of marriage. Eleanor died January 9, 2017. Also surviving are two daughters, Linda Schaad of Waterford and Mary Ann Heiss and husband John of Waterford; a son, Gene Bauerbach and wife Donna of Marietta, Georgia; nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harold Bauerbach and wife Hazel of Caldwell, Clarence Bauerbach and wife Kay of Reno, Dale Bauerbach and wife Charlene of Marietta and Francis Bauerbach and friend Darlene of Waterford; four sisters, Mary Rita Offenberger of Marietta, Jeanette Davis and husband Gene of Reno, Martha Hunter and friend Donald of Marietta and Dorothy Huck and husband Charlie of Waterford; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son in-law, Walter Schaad; two brothers, Carl and Richard Bauerbach; and two sisters, Edna Marie Bauerbach and Anna Mae Bauerbach.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 18, 2017 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Pastor Karl Kesselring officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery with Military services at the grave.  Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday. A Lions service will be held at 8:00 pm on Thursday.
