James L. Bosner, 79, of Waterford, Ohio , died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on June 4, 1938 in Bucyrus, Ohio, son of Louis C. and Alice Hecker Bosner. He had worked for the B&O Railroad for ten years and then was employed at AEP as a shift operating engineer. He retired from AEP in 1996. He graduated from Waterford High School in 1956. He was a member of the Fifth St. Church of Christ. He had coached little league baseball for many years and also had umpired for several years. He was married on August 3, 1984 to Genevieve “Jennie” Smith Bosner who survives. Also surviving are eight children, Christina Cunningham and husband John of Mineral Wells, WV, Juanita Bosner (Rodney) of Marietta, Patrick Hall and wife Mary of Lowell, Jodi Lockhart and husband Charlie of Lowell, Timothy Hall of Waterford, Douglas Bosner and wife Sharon of Lowell, Mishelle Shaffer and husband George of Waterford and David Bosner and wife Veronica of Waterford; eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one soon to be great grandchild. One brother, Fred Bosner of Waterford. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, Dustin Bosner and a sister in-law, Cherry Bosner.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 12, 2018 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly, with Evang. Zack Waite officiating. Burial will be in the Waterford Cemetery.
