Ilse E. Thomas

Ilse E. Marlowe Thomas, 87, of Marietta, formerly of Beverly, died Monday, September 11, 2017 at Hannah’s House Assisted living in Marietta. She was born December 24, 1929 in Mannheim, Germany, daughter of Johannes Gutjahr and Katharina Schlotterlein Gutjahr. She was first married to Albert Marlowe who died in 1960. She was later married on June 26, 1981 to James E, Thomas who died January 14, 1998. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Lang and husband Pat of Marietta; Three grandchildren, Corrie Lang Philipp, Mathew Lang and Greggory Lang; Four great-grandchildren, Chloe, Noah, Adyson and Edy. She was preceded in death by her husbands; Parents; and a brother, Paul Gutjahr.

A private family service will held on Wednesday at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Father Tim Kozak  officiating . Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery.
