Edna L. “Sally” Sutherland, 92, of Lowell, Ohio, died Monday, July 3, 2017 at her home. She was born July 6, 1924 in Morgan County, Ohio, daughter of G. Dale and Mary E., McGrew Graham. She graduated from Waterford High School in 1942. She was a loving mother and homemaker and later in life had been an aid at the Beverly Elementary School Library for several years, had sold Avon and had been an aid for the Beverly United Methodist Church Pre-School. She was a longtime member of the Beverly United Methodist Church and Mt. Moriah Order of Eastern Star # 506 at Beverly. She loved spending time with her family, reading, working cross-word puzzles, playing cards and baking pies.
She was married January 14, 1946 to Don W. Sutherland who died March 22, 1992. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Witten and husband Jerry of Lowell; two sons, William “Bill” Sutherland and wife Margaret of Richmond Virginia and Jack Sutherland and wife Beth of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Nine grandchildren, Amy Holstine (Marvin), Julie Witten, Carrie Makris (Andy), Tom Witten (Lora), Scott Witten (MeLinda), Betsy Brown (Jay), William Sutherland II (Lisa), Christa Sutherland and Brian Sutherland (Jenny); nineteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and five brothers, Gilbert, Clarence (Sonny), Neal, Pat and Chester Graham.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 6, 2017 at McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly with Rev. Jerry Penrod officiating. Burial will be in the Beverly Cemetery.
